WSIET

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These are the rules for using WSIET. We kept them short and honest.

The basics

WSIET is a meal tracking and AI suggestion service. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Your account

  • You must be 13 or older to use WSIET.
  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • One person, one account. Don't share accounts.
  • You can request account deletion at any time by emailing privacy@wsiet.org. We'll purge your data within 30 days.

What you can do

  • Log your meals, set preferences, and get AI suggestions.
  • Use the app for personal, non-commercial meal tracking.
  • Export your own data by contacting us.

What you can't do

  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or build competing products using our API.
  • Submit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights.
  • Attempt to access other users' data.
  • Use the service in a way that could harm WSIET or other users.

AI-generated content

Meal suggestions, nutrition estimates, and food images are generated by AI (Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini). They are:

  • Not medical advice. WSIET is not a dietitian, nutritionist, or healthcare provider.
  • Not guaranteed to be accurate. AI can make mistakes — especially nutrition estimates, which are rough approximations, not precise values. Use your judgment.
  • Not a substitute for professional guidance. If you have dietary restrictions or conditions related to your diet, consult a healthcare professional.

If you set daily nutrition goals (a premium feature), the same caveats apply: goal progress is built on the same rough estimates. It's guidance to help shape your suggestions, not precise tracking and not medical or dietary advice — don't rely on it for any health or clinical purpose.

The suggestions and estimates are tailored to your logged preferences and history, but we make no guarantee they'll be perfect for you.

Food photos and AI identification

When you use photo logging:

  • The AI will try to identify the dish and estimate nutrition. It won't always be right — review and correct the results before logging.
  • You're responsible for confirming or correcting the identified food and nutrition values.
  • Don't submit photos of other people without their consent.
  • Photos you log are stored in Supabase Storage and associated with your meal entry. They are deleted when you delete the meal or your account.
  • By uploading a photo, you grant WSIET a limited license to store and display it to you within the app.

AI-generated suggestion images

If you enable suggestion images in Settings:

  • An AI-generated food photograph is created for each meal suggestion using Google Gemini.
  • These images are AI-generated and may not accurately represent the actual dish.
  • When you log a meal from the suggestion card, the AI image is saved as your meal's photo.

Restaurant results

Restaurant suggestions near you are sourced from Google Places. Each restaurant gets a "WSIET Rating" (0–100) generated by an AI model that estimates how likely it is to serve the suggested dish. We don't guarantee:

  • That a restaurant is still open or in business.
  • That the restaurant actually serves the suggested dish.
  • The accuracy of hours, ratings, prices, or the WSIET Rating itself.

Delivery buttons (UberEats, DoorDash, Grubhub) open the third-party search page for that restaurant. They do not place an order on your behalf, and we are not responsible for any transaction or experience on those services.

Always verify with the restaurant directly.

Sharing and referrals

If you share a suggestion via the share button:

  • A short link (/s/{share_id}) is created. It expires 30 days after creation.
  • The recipient sees the meal name, photo, and nutrition values. The link does not reveal anything about your account.
  • If a recipient signs up via your link, completes onboarding, and meets the anti-abuse criteria, you receive +3 bonus refresh credits (capped at 30 credits per month). Anti-abuse checks include device fingerprint, IP rate limit, monthly cap, self-referral blocking, and existing-email checks. Failed checks return no credit but do not block the new user from signing up.

Don't try to game the referral system. Self-referral, fake accounts, or coordinated farming will result in credits being revoked and may result in account suspension.

Push notifications (mobile)

If you enable notifications on the mobile app:

  • We send meal-time reminders based on your configured meal pattern, lead-time preference, and timezone.
  • We do not send marketing or promotional notifications.
  • You can disable notifications at any time in Settings.

Subscriptions and refunds

Premium subscriptions ($6.99/month or $69.99/year) increase your daily refresh budget from 3 to 8 and unlock premium features including mood adjustment and daily nutrition goals.

  • Mobile (iOS / Android): Purchases are processed by Apple or Google through RevenueCat. Refund and cancellation are handled by Apple or Google per their respective store policies; we cannot directly refund a store-billed subscription.
  • Web: Purchases are processed by RevenueCat Web Billing on Stripe. Cancellation is available in Settings; pro-rata refunds are at our discretion.
  • Cancelled subscriptions retain access until the end of the paid period; access is downgraded when the paid period ends. (Your store — Apple or Google — may apply its own billing grace/retry window on a failed renewal, during which access is preserved.)

Your data

See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Short version: your meal data is yours. We don't sell it. We use it only to make the app work for you.

Service availability

We'll try to keep WSIET running reliably, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. We may change, pause, or shut down features with reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

WSIET is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In particular, we do not warrant that the meal suggestions, nutrition estimates, calorie and macro values, goal-progress figures, restaurant information, or WSIET Ratings are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free — they are AI-generated estimates and approximations, and you use them at your own discretion.

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

  • We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability to you won't exceed what you paid us in the last 12 months (or $10 if you haven't paid anything).

This doesn't affect statutory consumer rights that can't be waived.

Governing law

We operate globally. WSIET is offered to users worldwide and we do not pin these Terms to a single state or jurisdiction.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to your country of residence to the extent required by local consumer protection law. Where local law does not specify, disputes between you and WSIET are resolved on an individual basis under the laws of the jurisdiction in which WSIET's operating entity is established at the time the dispute arises. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under your local consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
